Moliere wrote Tartuffe in 1664. His timeless tale of a deceitful, lecherous fellow posing as a pious man to prey on others has been cast many times in theatre, on film and TV.

This period play was performed at the stunning Minack Theatre in Cornwall; a fabulous stage built into the cliffs with the sea as the backdrop. As the sun went down, orchestral and harpsichord music flowed over the audience, setting the scene for this 18th Century production.
